The surroundings and location were beautiful, with a well-appointed and interesting building. the spacious room was well decorated and had all the necessary facilities.

There was only one wardrobe in the room, and an additional hook near the door would have been useful for hanging jackets or handbags.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The breakfast in the Jacobean pub was absolutely delicious, definitely the highlight of our stay. We also enjoyed the clean and well-presented room, with all the necessary amenities provided. The hotel's location was perfect, with beautiful views of the gardens from the large conservatory. We were impressed with the excellent service and quality of this place.

The room was clean and had plenty of space to store all my belongings without cluttering up the sleeping area. The grounds and gardens were well-kept, creating a peaceful atmosphere with minimal road noise. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of choices, and the dinner options were plentiful and delicious. I also had the opportunity to try some lovely food at the Jacobean pub, which is conveniently accessible from within the hotel. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, location, and the helpfulness of the staff were all outstanding.

As a group of friends, we loved the spacious and beautifully renovated suites in the former outbuildings. The 2-level Granary room was fantastic with a large downstairs area and a cozy sitting area upstairs. The bathroom, complete with a TV at the end of the bath, was a unique touch. The food at the Jacobean pub, both dinner and breakfast, was delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel's grounds and views were breathtaking, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job maintaining the cleanliness of the room.

We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a suite in a beautifully renovated former outbuilding. The Granary room had two levels, a spacious downstairs, a sitting area, and a large bathroom complete with a TV at the end of the bath. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. The country hotel's location provided lovely views and was ideal for seeing the perfect sunset while enjoying a meal on the terrace. The food, including the "steak on a volcanic rock" dinner, was fabulous and the gardens were well manicured. Additionally, the hotel's quiet location was great for a peaceful getaway.

I cannot praise Rogerthorpe enough for making our wedding day truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredible. The wedding coordinator, Karen, was brilliant, taking care of every detail and ensuring everything ran smoothly. The beautiful building and grounds provided the perfect backdrop for our special day.

The Jacobean pub at the hotel had a great atmosphere, with attentive staff and high-quality food. The adjoining restaurant also provided a wonderful dining experience, with excellent service and a wide variety of delicious choices. the rooms in the main building were spacious, well-appointed, and provided a quiet and comfortable stay.

Some guests mentioned experiencing issues with the attitudes of certain staff members at the reception desk, which could have been improved.
