stayed in newton stewart before, but birch lodge exceeded expectations. excellent lodges, clean, comfy beds, scalding shower, beautiful location, helpful staff.

The lodge had a terrace, which was great for enjoying the fresh air and pretending to be outdoorsy. The children's playground was a nice touch, though I didn't have any children to play with. The free wifi was a lifesaver, because who can survive without scrolling through social media?

The oven in the lodge was a bit temperamental, but hey, who needs to cook on vacation anyway? I would have loved to have had more teabags though, because two definitely didn't satisfy my posh lady cravings.
