the view from the room was incredible 🌟. the breakfast 👌 was delicious, felt like a michelin star. Bit of a bummer about the dead flies though. 😕.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming B&B nestled in a stunning riverside location. the property itself is absolutely beautiful, with lovely rooms and multiple outdoor seating areas to relax in. We particularly enjoyed the gazebo overlooking the river. the hosts, Michael and Jayne, were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with great tips and even setting up a telescope for us to stargaze. the breakfasts were delicious, with the smoked salmon being a standout. We stayed for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended for exploring the Kielder area.

Fantastic garden with river views and outdoor seating. Zen seating area for relaxation and stargazing. Delicious breakfast prepared by ex-restauranteur host. Great location for exploring Keilder Forest and observatory.

There was nothing I didn't like.

I had the most remarkable stay at this stunning riverside B&B. the hosts, Michael and Jayne, made me feel like I was part of the surroundings and provided excellent service. the breakfast was superb, and the riverside setting was magnificent. I loved watching herons and even spotted a deer in the meadow opposite. the highlight of my evenings was sitting in the heated pergola, wrapped in blankets, under a starlit sky, listening to the soothing sound of the river. Michael even took us stargazing above the village one night, where we were treated to the breathtaking sight of the "milky way" spread across the night sky. Wow!

We stayed at a charming B&B nestled in beautiful surroundings by a tranquil river. The location was perfect for our visit to the nearby observatory, with two events taking place there. The well-maintained garden was a lovely spot to relax, with picturesque views of the river. Our spacious room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and went above and beyond to provide helpful advice and guidance. The breakfast offered a delicious start to our day.

There were no negatives to mention, our stay was delightful in every aspect.

the exclusive amenities, including the private facilities and leisure room, exceeded our expectations. the service was remarkable, and the staff was extremely attentive to our needs. the unique and spacious room had a breathtaking view of the beautiful surroundings. the location advantages were perfect for a peaceful and tranquil getaway.

Despite this minor inconvenience, the breakfast quality was outstanding, and it was served fresh and hot.

We had a fantastic time at Blackburn Lodge! The room was spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious and sociable. Lots of helpful information on local attractions, like Kielder. Great location for night sky watching. The gardens were fantastic. We would happily return!

I had an amazing stay at a B&B nestled in a serene location by the river. The split level site made the experience unique and contemporary. The hosts, Jayne and Michael, were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The room was clean, cosy, and had a lovely modern ensuite bathroom. The breakfasts were outstanding, setting me up for the day ahead. I also enjoyed relaxing in the gazebo by the river with a glass of wine, taking in the beautiful views.

I did experience a small issue with noise from outside the B&B during the night.

My new year's celebration was one of the most incredible experiences in a while. the river running through the hotel provided breathtaking views, and the warm welcome from the owners made me feel at home. I loved the large family bathroom with soft towels and nice toiletries. the breakfast was delicious and enjoyable, especially the locally sourced farm shop meat. the location was relaxing, and the house was well maintained.

The entrance to the exterior rooms was a bit hard to find, and the outdoor furniture blocked the view. there were a few cobwebs and dirty mold in the garden room that made it somewhat unwelcoming.

During my recent stay at Black Burn Lodge B & B, I experienced exceptional hospitality and a truly enjoyable time. From the friendly and helpful hosts to the delicious breakfasts and stunning views, everything was simply fabulous. I loved the cozy guest lounge with the woodburner, where I could relax and browse through the interesting magazines and cookbooks. The gazebo by the stream provided a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The rooms were tastefully decorated and comfortable, and I appreciated the personal service provided by the hosts. The property's beautiful garden and various seating areas, including the zen-like hexagonal raised seating area by the river, were a delight. I even had the chance to stargaze using the telescope provided by the hosts. The location was perfect for exploring Keilder Forest and the Art and Architecture trail, as well as visiting the Keilder Observatory. I also enjoyed a delicious meal at the nearby Grapes Hotel. I had a fabulous, relaxing, and interesting trip at Black Burn Lodge B & B.
