I booked this hotel for my wife and her friend who were attending a concert. They absolutely loved their stay at Bowes Incline. The hospitality was outstanding, with exceptional cleanliness and spacious rooms. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making them feel right at home. The food, including the crumble and steak and ale pie, was tremendous. They were so impressed that they are already looking forward to a return visit.

The staff were approachable and friendly, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food was lovely, both for breakfast and the evening meal. The hotel is conveniently located quite close to the A1M, making it easily accessible. Additionally, the hotel facilities were great, with interesting pictures of the coal mining history of the area displayed throughout. Parking was a breeze, as there was a large parking lot just across the road from the hotel with plenty of spaces.

Our Xmas stay was pleasant. We liked the surrounding fields that offer peaceful views and the stables nearby. the room was cozy and with fresh sheets and towels. the breakfast offered was lovely and convenient.

The staff was understaffed, and the reception was left unattended, which caused a mix-up during check-out that could have been avoided with more staff on duty. the walls between rooms were quite thin, and we could hear noise from the neighboring room.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the convenient location of the hotel near the A1 and the ample car parking facilities.
