I recently stayed at a 2-bedroom lodge in a lovely lakeside location during the February half term. The lodge was quiet, centrally located, and had a gated veranda, making it safe for both children and our dog. The dog particularly enjoyed swimming in the lake and exploring the adjacent woods. The host, Matt, was quick to resolve any issues, such as slow wifi, and made sure it was fixed within 24 hours. The shower was good, the beds were decent, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The local touches and decorations added to the overall charm. The pool was a hit with the kids, although it would have been nice to have some adult swim time. Going for a walk up the hill opposite the lodge was a hidden gem, especially for dog owners. it was a clean, welcoming, and enjoyable stay, and we would definitely return.

Speaking of my furry friend, they absolutely loved swimming in the lake and exploring the nearby woods. The host, Matt, was very responsive and fixed the slow wifi within 24 hours. The kitchen was well-equipped and had lots of local touches. The pool was a hit with the kids, although I wouldn't mind some more peaceful swimming time myself! A walk up the hill opposite the lodge was a great experience, especially with my dog by my side.
