We had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The room was huge and well-furnished, with a beautiful ensuite bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked and the dining area was lovely. The hostel's location was perfect, within walking distance of the town center with its restaurants and shops, and close to stunning countryside walks. We also appreciated the secure parking for our car on-site. The staff were friendly and helpful. this hostel exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness, facilities, location, and staff.

We had an amazing New Year's stay at this wonderful property. The warm greeting and helpfulness of the owner made us feel right at home. The freshly cooked breakfast was absolutely delightful, and the owner went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We especially loved the beautiful traditional furnishings and the cozy common areas. The location was perfect - a quiet area with lovely views, but still within easy walking distance of the town center. We also appreciated the secure bicycle storage, which was a huge plus for us as cycling enthusiasts.

We really struggled to find any negatives during our stay. The only slight inconvenience was the lack of plug sockets for the top bunks.

Everything was spot on.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked to order. The owners were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The location was convenient for our stopover en route to Fort William, and the owner provided us with great advice on nearby places to visit.

The beds were quite hard, which may not be to everyone's liking. there could have been more comfortable seating in the common areas, as the chairs were quite hard.

moffat carnival stay at independent was outstanding! owners tom and his wife went above and beyond, even driving me to grey mare’s tail. their generosity and kindness were unmatched. a big thank you to tom, and i hope to see you again soon!

The room was spacious and well-furnished, with a spotless bathroom and excellent shower. The kitchen had high-quality equipment, including a dishwasher.
