Adequate and comfortable hotel, super swimming pool, safe and convenient location, helpful staff, recommend to friends and family, friendly front desk and leisure center staff.

All was perfect.

The hotel's location is a big plus, as it is within walking distance of the train station and very close to the town center. There is also a lovely wee coffee shop right beside it, perfect for a quick caffeine fix before exploring the area. The rooms are clean and presentable, and the staff are friendly and helpful, offering useful information about the surroundings.

The service in the restaurant was poor and in need of improvement, which affected the overall dining experience.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff, including Suzanne, Hassan, Brian, and others. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, and the hotel facilities, particularly the pool and gym, were excellent. The location of the hotel was perfect for my trip, with easy access to everything I needed. The breakfast served was of high quality and the staff ensured that there was plenty to choose from.

Well-appointed and recently refurbished rooms with spa bath and power shower. Modern flat screen TV with freeview digital channels. Exceptionally well-equipped gym and clean pool with jacuzzi. Excellent and friendly staff. Fantastic attention to detail.

The room was lovely and spacious, with a comfortable bed and a huge TV. the location of the hotel was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions. We also loved the breakfast, especially the variety of options available. it was a great experience.

There were a couple of downsides. the hotel could use a bit of a refresh as the rooms looked a bit tired, with worn wallpaper and carpets.

The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for exploring the town and attending events. Guests can easily visit castles and other attractions in the area. The rooms are spacious and clean, with some featuring luxurious four-poster beds. The staff are welcoming, professional, and helpful. Guests can enjoy a delicious and extensive breakfast with plenty of options to choose from.

There is only one place to eat at night, and the other pub/restaurant is often closed. Guests may have to rely on reception to serve them in the bar area, which can be inconvenient.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. the value for money was outstanding, with reasonable prices for the room and the delicious meals. The attention to detail was evident throughout, from the beautifully laid out tables in the dining area to the well-appointed rooms. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent service that made us feel welcome. The location, right in the centre of town, was perfect for exploring all that the area has to offer.

During my Christmas stay, I enjoyed the comfortable and well-appointed rooms at the hotel. the beds were cozy and the bathrooms were immaculate. the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, offering exceptional service and going out of their way to assist with any requests. the location of the hotel was perfect, situated in a beautiful market town with plenty of castles to explore.

There were a couple of aspects that I didn't particularly enjoy during my Christmas stay. the hotel room was quite warm, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times.

loved the pool and jacuzzi, perfect relaxation after exploring dumfries. breakfast timing was spot on for a leisurely start to the day. the superior room exceeded expectations, spacious and comfy with a great bathroom. definitely recommend cairndale!

Steam room not working.

We recently stayed at the Cairndale Hotel & Leisure Club and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff were warm and welcoming, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We were particularly impressed by the pet-friendly nature of the hotel, allowing us to bring our beloved dog along for the trip. The location was perfect for taking our furry friend out for walks in the nearby areas. Each evening, we enjoyed different entertainment options, which added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. The shared tables provided a great opportunity to meet and chat with fellow guests, many of whom were returning customers. Along with all the positive aspects, my husband also had a great experience using the pool facilities. Despite some minor issues during breakfast, such as having to wait for certain items to be restocked, the overall quality of the meal was tasty. All in all, we found the Cairndale Hotel & Leisure Club to be a great base to explore the attractions of Dumfries. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

A relaxing weekend with friendly staff and tasty breakfast. the location was perfect, close to local attractions and easy to find. Rooms were cozy with comfortable beds and hot showers.

The décor was outdated and could use a refresh. the bar was a bit noisy at times, but nothing too disruptive.

The value for the money was excellent, we got a comfortable room with great leisure facilities. The staff treated us pleasantly and were helpful throughout our stay.

The reception staff were friendly and efficient, and the restaurant served delicious meals for both dinner and breakfast. The hotel's location is perfect, just a short 10-minute walk to the town centre. This city has plenty to offer, with its beautiful river, lighthouse museum, and the famous Mr Burns's house. Exploring the interesting backstreets was a delightful experience. The leisure facilities, including the indoor pool, were just what I needed for a refreshing morning swim.
