We had a wonderful stay at Caledonian Lodges 1. The hotel was clean, compact, and well designed. Since we couldn't use the mezzanine, we opted for the pull-down bed, which was a great alternative. The location was superb, right next to the picturesque Caledonian Canal. We enjoyed a leisurely 30-minute walk into the city along a beautiful canal and riverside path. Along the way, we discovered Eden Court theatre, where we stopped for lunch and enjoyed the "Under Canvas" festival with fantastic folk bands. The hotel also had a lovely decking area with covered bench seating, perfect for the occasional Scottish rain. We left wishing we had booked a longer stay and are already planning to return.
