The B&B owner was friendly and helpful, and provided complimentary cereal and fresh milk. The room was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The location was ideal for the beach, town center, and rail links. The bed was large and comfortable, and the bed linen was of high quality.

My friend and I had a great stay at Caris Guest House in Southend. The location was perfect, just a 7-minute walk into town. We were well taken care of by the lovely proprietors, Carol. The family room was comfortable and having a fridge was a bonus. Every day, they provided new cold water and even left some milk for us. Though there was no official breakfast, they left little bowls with mini cereal packets, which was a nice touch.

Strongly recommend this hotel.

The room exceeded our expectations - cozy, with a double window we could open and a lamp that made it even more inviting. The fridge in the room was a pleasant surprise, stocked with fresh milk for our cereal. Carole, the landlady, was extremely helpful and kind, providing us with a map of the area and recommendations for places to eat and visit. We also appreciated the TV on the wall and the fan provided in the room. the little service points and Carole's friendly demeanor made our stay great.

Felt cozy, no complaints whatsoever.
