We stayed at a hotel in the outskirts of the city for a couple of days between Christmas and New Year. The hotel had a beautiful view from our bedroom window, overlooking the surrounding countryside. The staff were friendly and cheerful, providing great service and hospitality. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom. The breakfast was good too, providing a satisfying start to our day.

We did notice that the decor was a bit tired and in need of some updating.

I had a warm welcome from Guy, the general manager at Charlton Kings Hotel. the attic room on level 2 was spacious and had a comfortable bed. I loved the Velux skylights with built-in block-out blinds, making the room nice and dark. the bathroom had a modern look with bright white wall tiles and charcoal floor tiles. the staff were friendly and the breakfast options exceeded expectations.

On a positive note, the cooked breakfast was quite nice, until I discovered mold spots on my toast. At that point, I decided to leave and check out.

the hotel did not provide dinner even though it was supposed to be included. my room had Velux windows that I couldn't reach to close the blinds, so the light kept pouring in and disturbing my sleep.

The bathroom was modern and the towels were large and fluffy. The bed was a bit small but comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and the staff was attentive. Convenient location for Cotswold.
