I got great value for my money. The room at Chequers was clean and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The location was also very convenient, with a short walk to town and free parking available.

The only thing that could have been better was the food for breakfast. It would have been helpful to have the gluten-free options clearly indicated, instead of having to ask the waitress and potentially delay other guests.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, perfect for our two-night stay. The location was ideal for our trips to Highclere Castle and the Newbury Races. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The high street had plenty of great places to eat and drink, especially with a lovely view of the river.

Great food, excellent service, and a comfortable stay at The Chequers Hotel. The family room was clean and spacious, with a recently updated bathroom. The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is conveniently located with ample parking. The breakfast was delicious, although the WiFi was a bit patchy. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a hotel in Berkshire. The location was perfect, with beautiful gardens right next to it. It was also conveniently close to both the town centre and Highclere Castle, which I was visiting. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a clean and well-equipped bathroom. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of pastries and a tasty cooked option. it was a great experience.

I did encounter one issue with the noise from the restaurant/bar outside my window, which disturbed the peace and quiet at times.

Enjoyed the comfortable beds and the well-equipped bathrooms. the front of the hotel and restaurant looked modern and well-designed. Received reasonable prices that were in line with the nearby town location.

Be wary of the back-end of the hotel as it can be a little outdated and not reflective of the pictures. the staff could be more attentive and observed, particularly in the restaurant for clearing and seating guests.

We had a fantastic stay here! The hotel is located right in the heart of town, surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants. It was so convenient to be able to stroll around and explore everything. The staff were amazing, always friendly and willing to help. They even provided coloring pens and paper for our little one during dinner. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. We really enjoyed our time here and felt so well taken care of.

We would definitely recommend this place to our family and friends. It's a great hotel with excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a prime location.

Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Staff attentive and went above and beyond. Great breakfast with quality ingredients. Clean, well-furnished rooms, surprisingly spacious.

The junior suite was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. Parking was free and easy, and the hotel had a great central location. The public areas were pleasant and the wifi worked well. Despite the hotel being busy, our room was quiet.

Felt right at home, no issues whatsoever.
