This hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. the value for money was exceptional. With affordable prices, we were able to enjoy a comfortable stay without breaking the bank. Secondly, the attention to detail was impressive. From the small bar area to the busy restaurant, every aspect was well-designed and inviting. The location of the hotel was also a major highlight. Situated close to the river, it provided picturesque walking opportunities. Lastly, the staff were exceptional. James, in particular, stood out for his friendly and helpful nature. He truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The basic amenities, including the rooms with private bathrooms and comfortable beds, were also top-notch. Plus, the fact that breakfast was included, served promptly at 7.45am, was a welcome bonus.

The hotel had a beautiful exterior and a prime location close to major highways with plenty of parking space. the Christmas decorations created a festive atmosphere and the staff were polite and welcoming. the room was cozy and spacious with clean linens and comfortable furniture. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace and the complimentary hot cocoa. the holiday-themed menu was creative and delicious, and the bar had a good selection of drinks.

the heating in our room was barely functional, and we had to use extra blankets to keep warm overnight. the walls were also thin, and we could hear our neighbors' conversations and television.

We had a fantastic stay at the Cross Keys Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to assist us. The location was perfect, right in the center of everything. The breakfast was delicious, with a full English breakfast and all the trimmings. The owners were hospitable and even allowed us to store our luggage after we checked out. it was great value for money and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
