We walked into a warm and friendly atmosphere at the Crown & Anchor Inn. The room was clean and recently decorated, with a lovely modern bathroom. The bar had a lively atmosphere, and the locals were friendly. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, as well as free WiFi. The staff were exceptional, going out of their way to help us with taxis and ensuring our comfort. They even allowed us to order a takeaway to the pub and provided plates and cutlery. a very comfortable stay.

They also allowed us to order takeaway and provided us with plates and cutlery when we wanted to dine at the pub. The rooms were modern, clean, and newly refurbished, with comfortable beds. The location of the inn was also lovely, with a peaceful atmosphere and a sun trap in the back. the hospitality and amenities provided made our stay enjoyable.

Despite being located above the pub, there was no noise disturbance, allowing for a peaceful and quiet stay. The staff went above and beyond with their hospitality, providing excellent customer service and even helping me find a local taxi company. The value for money was outstanding, and they even arranged a later check-out for me without any extra charge. The inn is situated in a stunning location with a sun trap at the back, perfect for relaxation. The view of the canal outside was an added bonus. I would definitely choose to stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service, cleanliness, and value for money.

Staff excellent. Sue couldn't do enough for me, providing a microwave and even retrieving my lost watch. The room was spotless, with a lovely modern bathroom. The on-site facilities were well stocked, including tea and coffee provisions. The hotel is located in a beautiful area, with a sun trap in the back, and the pub itself was quiet and peaceful. The modern en-suite shower room was a nice touch, and the bed was comfortable. we had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again.

The staff, especially Sue, were incredibly attentive and accommodating. Sue went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, providing a microwave in our room and helping us with parking. We loved the location, which was conveniently located near a canal for relaxing walks and had a corner shop nearby. We highly recommend the Jolly Sailor for dinner - their homemade Steak and Ale pie was possibly the best we've ever had!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely inn. Sue, the host, was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. She even provided a microwave in our room upon request and helped us exchange parking spots. the room itself was clean and fresh, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the canal. the entire place had a great atmosphere, especially in the evenings. We can't wait to come back for another stay at this wonderful inn.

Great value for money, lovely room with a big TV and Netflix. Convenient location for attending a wedding at Cave Castle. The staff were fabulous, providing excellent customer service and even helping us find a local taxi company.

Breakfast offerings could be improved, as the hotel does not provide food.

We stayed at a lovely inn for 2 nights. It was easy to find and the staff were excellent. They gave us a tour of the building, which made it easy for us to navigate. the room was spotless and so clean that it felt like a surgical room. the manager/owner even checked on my wife, who has health difficulties, to make sure she was comfortable. We were impressed and would definitely stay here again.
