We had a perfect overnight stay at a charming pub in a beautiful hamlet. The spacious room had thoughtfully curated decor and luxurious extras like Teapigs teabags and quality toiletries. The huge, comfortable bed provided a great night's sleep, and the lovely big shower was a refreshing treat. The freshly-cooked breakfast, prepared right in front of us, was excellent with plenty of toast and good coffee. The attention to detail, like softened butter pats, made the experience above-average. Despite a minor noise issue from the bar below, the setting and room more than made up for it. The helpful and efficient staff made our stay even more enjoyable. we highly recommend this place.

The Crown and Anchor in Marlborough is a sublime pub. The food and service were excellent, and the pub had a traditional yet airy feel to it. The rooms were great, the staff friendly and accommodating, and the location lovely. The owner was a legend, providing a calm and genuine experience. a superbly appointed establishment.

The breakfast was satisfying, although I would have liked to see a muesli option. Despite a minor issue with the toilet not flushing consistently, the overall experience was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the traditional yet airy atmosphere of the pub, which added to the charm. The location in the peaceful village of Ham allowed for relaxing walks and easy access to nearby towns. I would gladly recommend Crown And Anchor for a wonderful stay.

We got great value for our money at the Crown and Anchor. The room was beautifully appointed with high-end soft furnishings, making it super comfortable. Some rooms lacked storage, which was a bit inconvenient for a longer stay. In one of the rooms, there was a wet towel left on the radiator from a previous occupant, and there were no clean towels when we arrived.
