Charming Old-world Hospitality

Staying in this quaint, historic inn felt like a step back in time, with its wonky floors and cozy atmosphere. the staff were incredibly attentive and the meals, prepared by an experienced chef, were top-notch. While some areas may need updating due to the age of the building, the overall charm and hospitality more than make up for it.

Wonderful village atmosphere and the pub has a charming ambiance. We enjoyed the live music and the great selection of gins and ales. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the meal we had in the restaurant was fabulous! a delightful stay.

This hotel in a beautiful little village truly exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail throughout our stay was impeccable. From the warm and friendly service to the comfortable rooms with their own unique character, everything was just perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better location to explore the surrounding area, and the prices were very reasonable considering the exceptional value for money. An added bonus was the delicious breakfast provided, with a wide selection of cereals to choose from.

I recently stayed at an idyllic village pub with a beautiful setting. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the owner was friendly. The breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. The pub had a lively atmosphere with locals who made me feel welcome. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area and enjoying walks. The service was friendly and attentive.

Breakfast service was slow, taking 30 minutes to receive the order. Despite this, the T-bone steak for dinner was enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful, even during busy times. The location was ideal for the purpose of the trip. The pub had a lovely setting and the room was comfortable with a charming, old-fashioned feel. The food in the restaurant was excellent and service prompt. The atmosphere was relaxed, with friendly staff and locals.

Great Sunday lunch, delicious desserts and good service. The pub is a center attraction for the village. The refurbishment work has given a clean and fresh look to the traditional pub.

I had a wonderful stay at the Crown in Aldbourne. It's a charming English Country Pub with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. the big open fire was lit when I arrived, creating a cozy ambiance. the locals were sitting and chatting happily, with their dogs by their feet. the evening meal and breakfast were delicious, and the room was clean and well-equipped. the bed, quilt, and pillows were of excellent quality and very comfortable. This 400 year old building has a unique character that sets it apart from more modern hotels. I highly recommend it for a traditional and homely experience.
