We recently stayed in a large country house in a green area and had a lovely time during our romantic escape. We were pleased with the helpfulness of our host who gave us tips on the local area and made sure we had a comfortable stay. the breakfast served was plentiful and delicious.

We did find the shower pressure was quite low and we wished there were a few more toiletries provided. the house's location was a bit far out from the nearest town, which required us to have a car.

The location of this country house is excellent, with a huge forecourt featuring a central fountain. It is also conveniently close to Exeter St David's train station and the airport, making it easily accessible for travelers. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a cozy lounge suite. The breakfast served in the large dining room is plentiful and delicious, ensuring a great start to the day.

The shared bathroom may be in need of some maintenance, as mentioned by a previous guest.

Privacy in the bathroom was lacking as there was only a net curtain, which did not provide enough coverage. A blind or curtain would have been preferable to ensure privacy when drying oneself after bathing.

The location was perfect for us, as it was close to the university but still away from the busy city center. We loved the personal and genuine hospitality that we experienced here, and it was refreshing to support a smaller, family-run business like this.
