Another great aspect of our stay was the location, as it was just a 20-minute walk into the city centre of this charming city. Additionally, the hotel had a good-sized car park, which was convenient for our travels.

The decor of the hotel seemed a bit tired and could use some updating. the bed was reasonably comfortable, but twin beds for a couple were not ideal.

The hotel had excellent customer service, the staff were friendly and helpful. It was very kind of the concierge to watch my child while I went to collect my handbag from the car. they were very accommodating with my requests, offering warm milk for my daughter's bedtime without charge. the location was great for exploring the area.

The food was a bit underwhelming, and the breakfast meal was not very varied. the shower had very low water pressure, and there was a bit of noise from the fire door.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the hotel facilities were top-notch. The large free car park provided ample space for our vehicle. Additionally, the location was excellent, as it was very close to a lovely river walk and just a short distance from the town center. The breakfast provided was also amazing, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

We also appreciated the easy access to the motorway, lakes, and Scotland. The hotel is set in the grounds of a large Roman cavalry fort, which added a unique historical touch to our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. The rooms were spotless and the beds were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. a wonderful experience.
