As a solo traveler, I couldn't have asked for a better experience at this guest house. The owners were friendly and welcoming, offering tips on what to see and do. They even helped me book an evening meal somewhere. The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom had an amazing shower. The breakfast selection was fabulous with plenty of choices. The homemade cake in my room was a lovely personal touch. The bookshelf and printed walking guides were so helpful and interesting. I felt well-looked after and enjoyed the view from my cosy and comfortable room. It was a perfect break!

The owners even surprised us with some homemade treats, like fruitcake and lemon cake, which added a lovely personal touch to our stay. I couldn't fault anything about Dalkeith Guest House and I will definitely be returning in the future.

The view from our room was amazing, and we enjoyed the homemade cake that was left in our room every day. the breakfast was also good, and we were given a lot of choices. the hotel was located conveniently near the town center, and it was easy to access all the Christmas markets and festivities.

Our Christmas stay was not as enjoyable as we had hoped. the heating in our room was inadequate, and we were constantly shivering even with the extra blankets provided.

Clean and comfortable room with great tea/coffee selection. Unexpected homemade lemon cake. Helpful owners offered porridge pots for breakfast and left perishable items in a cool box. Perfect stay, wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
