amazing stay, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! perfect location for a peaceful getaway and close to the polar express. beautiful view of the river from the room and delicious food at reasonable prices. would definitely recommend.

Bar area disappointing for groups, lacked a real pub feel.

The room was clean and had a shaver/toothbrush socket in the bathroom. the staff were friendly and the meals in the pub had a good choice and were generously portioned. the location of the hotel was convenient and we were well served by the staff.

The strong smell of carpet fresh in the rooms and hallway was a bit overpowering. the noise from the traffic could be heard if the window was open.

The nearby village of Buckfastleigh is charming and Buckfast Abbey is a must-visit attraction. Despite a minor inconvenience of noise from the neighboring room, our experience was overall enjoyable and we found the hotel to be great value for money.
