I had a wonderful experience at the lodge. From the moment I arrived, the host was helpful and attentive, answering all of my questions. The room was ready on time and the key was easily accessible, making check-in a breeze. The lodge itself was beautifully fitted out with everything I needed for a self-catering accommodation. The lounge area was spacious and had comfy sofas, perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The setting of the lodge was also fantastic, tucked away in a secluded location with beautiful grounds and well-maintained gardens. The bedrooms were simply furnished but had incredibly comfortable beds and pillows. The living room and dining area were tastefully decorated, creating a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend Deighton Lodge for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

Lovely surroundings with beautiful gardens and peaceful atmosphere. Enjoyed being able to walk our dog in the nearby fields. the house itself was modern, cosy, and well-maintained. the room was a good size and we had our own bathroom. It was great to have access to the full house and all its facilities. the other guests were friendly and it created a relaxed environment.

The beds were slightly uncomfortable, with a soft mattress that made us feel like we were leaning to one side. It affected our sleep quality and left us feeling a bit restless.

Had a great Christmas stay at this hotel. the room was clean and well presented, with a nice en-suite bathroom. the property itself was amazing, with a beautiful and scenic rural location. the full use of the entire house and garden, including a full kitchen, was a definite plus. Key location facts: only a 5-minute drive from the busy city and surrounded by nature.

There were some noisy and inconsiderate guests in the next room, which disturbed our sleep. However, the staff were apologetic when we brought it to their attention in the morning.

It was great to have access to the shared areas like the living room, dining room, kitchen, and outdoor spaces, especially for families or large groups. the self-check-in process was easy with clear instructions provided in advance. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the nearby White Swan pub and fish and chips from the local shop.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a charming lodge surrounded by picturesque fields. The view from the lodge was absolutely amazing, and I found it very easy to access the nearby city center. Even though it was a self-checkin process and the owner wasn't always present, the instructions provided were clear, and there was a contact number available for any issues. The lodge itself was beautifully presented, and it was evident that a lot of love and care had gone into the property. The facilities were top-notch, comparable to a 5-star hotel, and impeccably clean. Additionally, there was ample communal living space, making it a very inviting and comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

We got excellent value for our money at Deighton Lodge! The room, Jorvik, was incredibly comfortable with spacious beds and a lovely bathroom. The location was perfect, surrounded by fields and great for walking our dog. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making our stay enjoyable.

The hotel breakfast could use some improvement, with more variety and options to choose from.

The location of the hotel was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by picturesque countryside and abundant wildlife. It was so peaceful and serene that I could spend hours just enjoying the tranquility. the room itself was also beautifully presented and very clean, with a nice en-suite. the value for money was excellent, considering the quality of the accommodation.

There were a couple of downsides to my experience. the check-out time was surprisingly early at 10 am, and the proprietor seemed very strict about it.

The room we stayed in was far from comfortable. Despite the cold weather, there was no heating available, and the lack of ventilation made it stuffy and uncomfortable.
