Lovely, homely cottage with comfortable beds, good-sized bedrooms, and a nice living room with TV and Alexa. The kitchen is spacious for home cooking. Very clean and tidy. Great view from the attic room. Excellent central location, accessible to attractions like the Abbey. Shops nearby for essentials. Easy access with key lock box. Efficient communication from the host.

We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful old fisherman's cottage. the location was amazing, situated in the charming old part of town and close to the Abbey and the breathtaking coastal path to Robin Hood Bay. the cottage itself was full of character and had all the amenities we needed, including a well-appointed kitchen with a dishwasher, a comfy living room with a little sofa, and a good bathroom. We hope to stay at Demeter Cottage again in the future!

slight chilliness in the cottage

I booked this cottage for me and my best friend and our two daughters and it was absolutely perfect! The quaint little cottage had so much character and was tastefully decorated. The location was fabulous, right above the main street with shops and restaurants, and just around the corner from the 199 steps to the Abbey. The smart devices like Alexa, TV with Netflix, and WiFi were unexpected bonuses. The owner's communication was excellent, and we even got free parking on nearby Church Street.
