Delighted to stumble upon a charming hotel tucked away by a scenic river. The recently refurbished rooms are spacious and well-appointed with comfortable beds. The attentive staff provides excellent service, ensuring a warm welcome and a superb breakfast. Guests can enjoy a drink at the bar or relax in a separate seating area. The hotel's location offers a peaceful retreat with beautiful views.

The Wi-Fi connection had a few hiccups.

Recently stayed at The Devonport for a few nights. The view from the hotel was stunning, overlooking the River Tees and woodland. The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable with high-quality linen. The manager even reduced the price due to a heating issue. The staff were friendly, efficient, and went out of their way to be helpful. The food at both dinner and breakfast exceeded expectations. The hotel is well-run, offering free WiFi and a great space to work. It was also very reasonably priced, perfect for my budget.

All was perfect, nothing to complain about.

We had a wonderful Christmas at this hotel. the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. the food in the bar was delicious, especially the fish and chips. the hotel is situated in a beautiful countryside location, offering stunning views. We also enjoyed the comfortable bed and the generous supply of coffee and tea in the room.

The room service could have been better as there were a few maintenance issues, such as blown bulbs and missing sink and bath plugs/chains. the breakfast options were quite limited, with only basic items available.
