Pros the hot tub overlooking the fields was an impressive retreat after a long day. the rustic antique furniture in the cozy room added a touch of charm. the welcoming ambiance and delicious ale at the pub were delightful. Despite some minor inconveniences, the overall experience was pleasant and memorable. I would gladly recommend this unique and evolving establishment.

There was a little mix-up at check-in, but no worries, got a free upgrade to a room with a hot tub! Great experience overall! 🐾

staying at Dog and Castle was an enchanting experience. the ex-Masterchef host cooked us a fabulous dinner, and the homemade profiteroles were absolutely delightful. the friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcomed, and the separate chalet-style rooms were perfect for a quiet stay with our dog. overall, an unforgettable and delightful visit.

Despite some mishaps like a leaking pipe, lack of wifi, and a tap coming off, the hospitality and charm of the place shone through. the staff, including the owner John, were incredibly welcoming, and the Sunday Roast was a highlight. Although the hotel is still undergoing improvements, the effort put in by the new owner is evident. the surrounding area offers a variety of interesting landmarks, like Magic Mountain and Winwick Barn Alpacas, providing opportunities for family bonding. My visit was truly a unique experience, and I look forward to returning to see the continued transformation of this gem.

Hiking and cycling around were challenging , loved the British pizza, and steakhouse restaurant. London Luton Airport was just a hop away. the outdoor pool and hot tub were divine, and room service was a lifesaver.
