This hotel is set in a tranquil location with a cosy bar and restaurant area. The staff are very helpful and the facilities are great. There is plenty of parking and a lovely garden with lots of seating and swings for children. The breakfast was delicious.

Amazing staff who remained calm and attentive despite a flooded cellar caused by a thunderstorm. Room was light and airy, food and service were great. Convenient location. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

my recent stay was even better than before in abingdon-on-thames. the comfortable bed, spacious room, and friendly staff made my experience at this hotel truly enjoyable. i especially loved the can-do attitude of waiter andrew and chef james during breakfast.

We stayed at the Dog House for a weekend getaway and had a fantastic experience. The room was comfortable and clean, although a bit dated. The shower was excellent and the staff were friendly. The hotel's location was perfect for our activities. The beds were large and comfortable, and the food was delicious with a great variety on the menu. we were very pleased with our stay.

The beer and food were of excellent quality, a definite step up from standard chain hotels. We loved being away from the noise and bustle of the city, with no views of ring roads or roundabouts. it was a delightful experience that surpassed our expectations.

We stopped at Dog House during our journey from Norfolk to the West country. The location was perfect for an overnight stop. The large comfortable bed provided a great night's sleep. The hotel grounds were also a good size.

The location of the hotel is great, with easy access to Oxford and the motorways. The beer garden provides a lovely social area, where you can enjoy a relaxing summer evening and even watch hot air balloons take off. The main bar area is also a bustling spot, perfect for grabbing a drink and socializing with others.

The cleanliness of the restaurant floor was an issue, with some guests mentioning it being dirty and dusty.

The food during my Thanksgiving dinner at this hotel was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the perfectly cooked meat and the scrumptious pumpkin pie. the location was also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions. the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, making for a welcoming experience.

The service could have been improved, with slow and unorganized clearing of tables and a lack of communication between staff and customers. the atmosphere was also lacking, with outdated decor and a generally unkempt appearance.
