The noise from the water pipes whenever someone in another room used water was extremely loud, and it disrupted our sleep throughout the night and early morning. the bathroom facility was dated and not visually appealing.

Fabulous Tudor building with retained original features. Excellent walking distance to Tutbury Castle. Friendly staff and good food. Nice garden at the back. Variety of well-kept beers and lagers. Large car park. Surprisingly quiet at night. Attentive and well-trained staff.

The rooms at Dog & Partridge were quirky and had the added bonus of a small fridge. The staff were exceptional and attended to all our needs. The restaurant served 1st class food with great service. The bar had a great selection of drinks.

The food was hands down the best "pub" food we have ever had. The breakfast options were also impressive, with a delicious sausage that stood out from the rest. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly, professional, and made us feel welcome. Despite a few minor drawbacks, like an old shower and limited tea/coffee supplies, the overall experience was fantastic. With its ambiance, rich history, and delectable dining, we wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem.
