As a solo female traveler, I appreciated the friendly and welcoming staff. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The central location was convenient for visiting the castle and exploring Princes Street. The breakfast had a good selection and the cooked options were delicious.

The value for money at Doubletree was excellent. The room was clean, spacious, and had a stunning castle view. The staff, especially Andrés and Victoria, were caring and helpful, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. The food at the restaurant was perfectly presented and delicious. We will definitely book this hotel again when we're back in town.

Breakfast delights could be improved with more variety.

The staff were exceptionally nice and friendly. The room was beautifully decorated, and we loved the lovely dessert that was left for my friend's birthday. The warm cookies on arrival were a delightful touch, and we also appreciated the complimentary drink that Damien at reception organized for us. The breakfast was very good, and the staff couldn't do enough to help. The view of the castle from our room was also wonderful. We will definitely stay here again. 5 stars!

As young people, we loved the friendly front of house staff and the amazing view of the castle from our room. The breakfast had a good choice and we enjoyed the fresh 'cut your own' seeded cob bread. The location was perfect, just 10 minutes away from the Old Town, Royal Mile, Grassmarket, Castle. The hotel had a separate lounge/cocktail bar and there were also 2 large computers in the foyer for anyone to use. it was a great weekend stay with excellent staff and amenities.

While the room was a bit dated and had some minor cleanliness issues upon arrival, overall our stay was excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel to families.
