We had a wonderful time during our stay at the Dun Cow. The staff was incredibly helpful and made our visit very enjoyable. The room was surprisingly spacious and had a charming and comfortable feel. The food, both for dinner and breakfast, was absolutely delicious. The hotel's location was perfect, with many great restaurants within walking distance. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be returning for another visit. Thank you!

Cosy and warm room with traditional features and furniture. Not too noisy despite being above the pub. Good supply of shower gel with lovely hot water and good pressure. Bed was soft and comfortable. Choice of two beds. Excellent breakfast with prompt service. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location near many restaurants. Room was clean with lots of character. Very friendly staff with a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude. Excellent food with a comprehensive and varied menu. Charming old-world charm ambiance.

I recently stayed at a charming hotel in a bustling area, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. the hotel's attention to detail impressed me. We had an amazing time at the inn. The staff, especially Amanda, were brilliant and made us feel so welcome. The dinner was excellent, with a great selection of wine. The breakfast was top-notch, with perfectly cooked eggs and delicious produce. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the whole atmosphere of the pub was warm and inviting. We can't wait to return!

We had a fantastic stay at the Dun Cow Inn in Sedgefield. The staff, from the friendly manager Richard to Ellie, the Scottish girl on the bar, and the lady who served us breakfast, were exceptional. They handled everything with good manners and friendliness. The accommodation was cozy and spotless, and the location was perfect for our needs. The pub itself had a traditional English charm and the dining experience was excellent. Richard, the manager, took great care of us throughout our stay, and the proprietor Geoff was engaging and ensured our satisfaction. The staff also mentioned how much they enjoyed working at the Dun Cow, which speaks volumes about the positive atmosphere.

The food, both breakfast and dinner, was lovely, and we enjoyed a relaxing evening at the friendly bar. The bonus of convenient car parking at the back added to our pleasant stay.

Perfect for our trip to the races and conveniently located near other pubs and restaurants. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to help us. The included breakfast was fantastic and the food in general was lovely. The small and friendly bar was great for drinks in the evening. The car parking at the back was a bonus. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

The bathroom door creaked loudly and needed maintenance, which affected our sleep. the location was a bit remote, which made transportation a bit tricky, and the lack of nearby amenities was a bit inconvenient.

This hotel was a great place to stay while I ran The Great North Run and my wife met with relatives. The location was very good, being so close to the A1. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with all the basic amenities we needed. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast in the number4 cafe was nice and set us up for the day.
