Lovely boat, great location, attentive host, well-supplied.

Nothing, all was good.

We had a fantastic week staying on this centrally moored barge near the swing bridge. Communication with the host was excellent, and the cleanliness of the barge was impeccable. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like milk, water, and snacks upon our arrival. The free secure parking in the boat yard opposite was a bonus. The barge was cozy and comfortable for the two of us, with all essential kitchen items available. We loved the beautiful location of Sandwich and enjoyed dining at Giovannis and The Crispin Inn. Archie, the owner, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The weather was also perfect, thanks to our host!

The owners were friendly and helpful, and the inside of the barge was clean and tidy. The host provided helpful information and was welcoming. The barge had well-equipped kitchen facilities, and I appreciated the tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits left for us. The barge's atmosphere was enjoyable, with beautiful views of the river and tidal changes. its central location allowed for easy access to various restaurants and cafes in the area.

One minor issue was figuring out the lighting, but it was manageable. The kitchen knives could have been sharper.

Great location in the heart of the town. Spacious barge with comfortable beds and all necessary amenities. Friendly and helpful host. Convenient parking at the marina. Fun experience for kids. 👍

I had a wonderfully quirky experience staying on Archie's barge in the beautiful area of Sandwich. The barge itself was spacious, well-finished, and had a cozy feel. I loved sitting on the deck with breakfast and gazing at the stars in the evening. Archie was incredibly helpful, and the immediate area had a great selection of pubs and restaurants. I enjoyed my stay and would love to visit again in the future.
