During my Christmas stay, I was pleasantly surprised by the high standards maintained at this hotel. the room was immaculate and had useful amenities such as a trouser press. the Sunday Night Jazz package was a fantastic deal, offering dinner, bed, and breakfast for two, along with entertainment at the adjacent club. It was great value for money and a memorable experience.

Despite the overall positive experience, there were a couple of aspects that could be improved. the room and some areas of the hotel did appear a bit dated, which could be updated to enhance the overall ambiance.

The hotel is located across an old wooden bridge over a stream filled with trout, which adds to the charm. However, due to ongoing roadworks, it was tricky to access. The dining area at the Moldy Figg pub was easily accessible and the staff were friendly. The breakfast provided was good and the bed in the room was comfortable.

The hotel room had a tiny television and there was mold on the tiles in the shower room.

We were pleasantly surprised by our recent stay at Ellington Lodge. The location is beautiful, with ample parking and a serene green area with a small stream nearby. We enjoyed sitting outside the Mouldy Fig for drinks and had a lovely dinner at the restaurant.

Although the hotel is a bit dated and could use some updating, the room was clean and tidy. We did notice a musty smell upon entering, but opening the windows quickly solved that issue.
