Nothing it was perfect.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel between St Ives and Penzance. The location was beautiful, with amazing views across the fields. The hotel facilities were great, with a separate old house behind the pub that had a large, nicely converted room with a vaulted ceiling. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and spacious, providing us with everything we needed, including a kettle. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was included and the food was amazing, with a wide range of vegan options available. The hotel also had a parking area inside the gate of the pub grounds, making it convenient to park our car. Additionally, the hotel's outdoor space had a playground frame, which was perfect for our son and dog to enjoy.

Everything was spot on.

This hotel is excellent value for money. With prices starting at £65 a night, it's hard to find a better deal in the area.

Located between St Ives and Penzance, the Engine Inn boasts a picturesque location just down the road from the inn is a stunning beach, perfect for a day of sandcastle building with the kids. The room was comfortable and provided a peaceful night's sleep. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the made-to-order breakfast was a delicious start to the day. The facilities catered to disabled guests, including a convenient wet room.

The noise from other guests in adjacent rooms could be disruptive at times.

We had a wonderful stay at the Engine Inn. Anna and Brian, the owners, greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. the place has a lot of character and is incredibly cozy. the food, prepared by Anna, was outstanding - we wish more places would follow her example. The room was lovely and the main bed was really comfortable. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast, which was served in a marquee, was amazing. The hotel is in a great location, with easy access to transportation and a beautiful view of the surrounding area from the breakfast area.

I had an incredible stay at an inn in a charming countryside location. The warm welcome from the lovely landlady made me feel right at home. The room was surprisingly spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was delicious and served quickly, with a variety of options for the whole family. Plus, it was just a short taxi ride away from the beach. Without a doubt, I would definitely choose to stay here again!

We had a great experience during our Easter stay. the location was absolutely stunning with beautiful views. the room we stayed in was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. the staff were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate us, even opening the kitchen late at night to cook us a delicious meal.

there was no internet connection in the rooms, which was quite inconvenient. the room could have been cleaner, as we found some hairs in the bed and noticed significant mold and damp.

There were a few drawbacks to our experience. the sofa bed in the family room was uncomfortable and not suitable for sleeping.

Located next to the pub, the twin room in the outhouse was well-equipped and had a wet-room, which was a bonus. The delicious evening meal was served in a buzzing atmosphere, with friendly conversations and even a local prize-draw. The breakfast was excellent and served in a small dining area. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home.

The second bed in the room was uncomfortable and the shower didn't work initially, but these issues were addressed by the management.

The location of this hotel is perfect, very handy for visiting local attractions and for exploring the nearby beach. the staff was really nice and friendly, always helpful with directions and local suggestions. the room was reasonably sized and comfortable to stay in even when the weather was not great.

My stay at this hotel wasn't as good as I had hoped. the room was not very clean and smelled damp, which made it quite uncomfortable and unpleasant to sleep in.
