There was a slight smell in the room that persisted despite the efforts of the receptionist to alleviate it. Also, there was no designated space to place a laptop, which made it a bit inconvenient for those needing to do work.

During my Christmas stay, I was impressed with the free parking and easy access. The room was comfortable with a large TV that offered Netflix, and the shower was superb. the hotel provided an electric coolbox and a microwave, which came in handy.

The noise level of fellow guests was noticeable and disruptive. the view from the room wasn't the best, as the sight of a disused nightclub wasn't inspiring.

The location, close to Barrow centre, the town hall, and the main high street, was convenient for exploring the area. Additionally, being close to the Lake District was a major plus. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The rooms on the ground floor were tastefully decorated with really comfortable furniture. The bathrooms were excellent, spacious and well-appointed. Lastly, the breakfast provided was delicious and satisfying.
