Lovely, comfortable bed and pillows. Small bedside stools, flimsy lamp, not ideal for cup or book. Kettle didn't work. Minimal supply of black tea, lots of fruit teas. Very small room. Shower pressure could be better. Comfy bed and quiet, good rest!

The hotel had a beautiful building with a charming and classic charm. the staff were friendly and accommodating, quickly responding to any issues. the room had great tea and coffee facilities and the location was ideal for exploring the city.

There was no hot water in the morning, making it impossible to take a shower. the pool, located in a separate building, was not impressive and the changing room was small and in need of cleaning.

The complimentary mulled wine and mince pies were a lovely addition to our Christmas stay. the location, surrounded by beautiful gardens and vast grounds, provided a peaceful atmosphere for walks and relaxation. Our room had a stunning view of the countryside.

The restaurant food was not up to expectations and some of the vegetables tasted watery and flavorless. the staff seemed indifferent towards our presence and rarely smiled.

Lovely setting for a relaxing weekend

Although I stayed in the lodge, I found it to be perfectly acceptable. The only downside was that the room was quite small with a small double bed, more suitable for a single occupant rather than a couple.
