The location of the hotel was ideal for us, as non-drivers over Christmas with limited local transportation. However, due to the very cold spell, we were unable to take advantage of the stunning surrounding area for any outdoor activities or trips. being close to the local town was convenient for attending a function there. The room was comfortable and clean, with tea and coffee facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful, even delivering drinks to our room. The breakfast offered a generous selection, including a full English option.

There were some issues with the facilities at the hotel, such as a lack of hot water in the bathroom sink and an electric shower that only had cold or boiling water. the sauna was not operating at full temperature and the staff were unable to assist in resolving the issue.

The location and setting were lovely, with a beautiful old building and 5 roaming peacocks. The restaurant served good food and the staff were nice. It is worth checking if they serve evening meals during weddings. The hotel was tidy and clean, with smart rooms. We were able to reserve the pool for a private group.

I had a wonderful stay at Faenol Fawr Country. The building was impressive and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The menu had excellent dishes to choose from and the peacocks roaming around added a delightful touch. The attention to detail in the rooms, like having different light bulbs, really showed their dedication to providing a great experience. I highly recommend this hotel.
