The location of this accommodation is fantastic, nestled near lovely gardens with woodland all around. You can enjoy peaceful walks and be close to the wildlife in the evenings. there is a stunning waterfall nearby, providing a scenic view. The rooms are comfortable with good showers and plenty of space for two. Guests have access to a well-equipped kitchen with appliances and utensils. The staff are helpful and friendly, making sure you have everything you need for a pleasant stay.

One minor drawback is that the pillows may not suit everyone's preference, as some can be too hard or too soft.

our recent stay in Port Glasgow was absolutely amazing. Finlaystone Barns truly exceeded our expectations. From the location in the beautiful country park to the clean and comfortable accommodations, everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. We loved the log fire, the natural light, and the convenience of the amenities provided. We can't wait to go back!

lights didn't work properly

I can't express how much value we got for our money at Finlaystone Barns. The room was spacious, cosy, and oh-so quiet at night. The log fire was the perfect touch, and we loved the long walks with our dogs. The kitchen facilities and washing machine were a bonus, and we felt like we could have stayed here for a whole week. The cafe had excellent coffee and delicious sandwiches, and the surrounding gardens were well-maintained. The staff treated us so well, and we can't wait to come back for another break away from our busy lifestyle.

The hotel breakfast menu could have been better. The only issue we had was that the mattress in our room was a bit uncomfortable, with the springs poking through, but everything else was perfect, so it was something we could put up with.

the log burner gave us a bit of trouble on the first night, but the owner was quick to come to the rescue with more kindling. the barn was perfectly comfortable and had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. the surroundings were stunning, with plenty of walking opportunities and friendly people. I even met the owner's wife and her dogs while out walking. I highly recommend Finlaystone to friends and can't wait to return with my two boys.
