I recently stayed at Foundry 34 for 4 days while exploring the beautiful Lake District. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and I appreciated the free upgrade to a spacious family room without even asking. The Australian gentleman at the front desk was especially welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel facilities were all in good condition. Although there was no hotel parking, the nearby public parking area was conveniently close. The hotel's location provided gorgeous scenery for a truly peaceful stay.

The rooms were lovely, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. the bed was super comfy and the bathroom had a great shower and nice new fittings. I also appreciated the towel warmer and the giant bath towels. the location of the hotel was perfect, just a short walk and you're in the heart of the city. It was so convenient for exploring and visiting nearby attractions.

One of the minor inconveniences was that the room was a bit too warm for my liking. It would have been nice to have the thermostat turned down by a couple of degrees.

Booked 2 nights for a wedding, 10 minutes away. Lovely food, comfy bed, great sleep. Friendly staff offered help with bags. TV with good channel range. Extras like iron, tea, kettle, hairdryer. Amazing shower! Breakfast included, no extra charge. Lovely breakfast/function bar upstairs. Convenient location in town. Would recommend for a weekend away or night out. Highly recommended.

the bathroom had a partially detached toilet seat, which was a safety concern. getting into the hotel room was a bit challenging, as it took a few tries to open the key box.

We recently stayed at The Foundry and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They even showed us to our room, which was a nice touch. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We also loved that there was a separate entrance/exit at the back of the hotel, giving us the option to bypass the restaurant when leaving our room. Speaking of the restaurant, the food was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast and supper were delicious and great value. a fantastic hotel that we would definitely return to.

Great stay! Booked 2 nights for a wedding. Ten minutes by car, the proximity was perfect. Lovely staff, offered help with bags, showed us to our room. Comfy bed, good sleep. Great shower! Breakfast was brilliant, shockingly included in the price. Special thanks to the friendly lady who served us both mornings. Ideally set in town. Would recommend and stay there again. Highly recommended.
