The spacious and comfortable rooms provided enhanced comfort and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of the countryside, with the nearby river and cattle creating a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel also boasted a charming beer garden at the back, where we had the opportunity to enjoy a delightful lunch. the Fox And Pheasant Inn Armathwaite provided us with a luxurious stay, enhanced comfort and quality services, and we would highly recommend it to families in search of a memorable experience.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome by the friendly staff. The cleanliness of my room was excellent, and it was incredibly comfortable, airy, and spacious. The ensuite bathroom was also roomy and well-maintained. The hotel's location close to the river and in the garden of Eden made it even more special. Additionally, the hotel's facilities were top-notch, and I particularly appreciated the convenient parking and the proximity to Settle Carlisle railway station.

Spent Xmas at this cozy country inn and loved the warm atmosphere and friendly staff. the food was delicious, especially the hearty portions of well-cooked meats that were shockingly affordable. We also enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, perfect for winter walks. the room was clean and the local beers were a treat.

The hot water system was faulty with either no or minimal water pressure and inconsistent temperatures. However, despite these minor setbacks, it was still a lovely Christmas getaway.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

I had a wonderful stay at this delightful inn. the hospitality was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. the rooms were clean, warm, and comfortable. the bathroom and shower were also impressive. I have been visiting the area for the past four years, and in my opinion, this is the best place to stay. the food was delicious, and I especially enjoyed trying their local specialty, vinaigal eggs. I will definitely be back for a longer stay next time to explore more of the area.
