The cottage was clean and cosy, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. The communication from the host was great and there were nice touches like a box of biscuits on arrival. The location was convenient, within walking distance of shops and a bar across the road.

The cottage wasn't suitable for someone with mobility issues. The stairs were a challenge, especially for someone with a bad hip like me.

We had a fantastic stay at a cozy, clean, and homely cottage in a great location. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the wood fire added a special touch. The host, Jo, was excellent with communication and gave us helpful local recommendations. We would definitely stay with Jo again.

Nothing not to like.

We loved the cozy living room with a log burner and a complementary bottle of wine. The super comfortable beds and large immaculate bathroom were a treat. The fully equipped kitchen made breakfast a breeze. The location was perfect, with two pubs right outside the cottage and a beautiful walk into town past interesting old buildings.

Our stay at Gate Cottage was absolutely delightful. From the moment we walked in, we felt such a warm and cozy atmosphere. The living room with its log burner and complementary bottle of wine was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The cottage itself was immaculately clean and had so much character. The super king size beds were incredibly comfortable, and the large bathroom with the soft white towels made us feel like we were in a luxurious hotel. The kitchen was fully equipped, although we didn't cook much because there were two pubs right outside the cottage, which made dining out so convenient. The location of the cottage was excellent, with a beautiful walk into town past charming old buildings and a choice of restaurants and friendly drink establishments. We even ventured out to explore the surrounding villages and met interesting people along the way. After a long day of walking and entertainment, Gate Cottage provided the perfect haven of comfort. We would like to extend our gratitude to Martin, the owner, and Carol, the housekeeper. With its great location, comfort, and cleanliness, we would definitely recommend Gate Cottage for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. we had such a wonderful time and would highly recommend this property.
