My recent stay at The George Hotel in Wallingford was fantastic! I was in town for a quick weekend getaway and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff, especially Carmen, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was spacious and well-presented, and I was impressed with the quality of the bar and restaurant. The real ale was superb, and the food was top-notch. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a while, with a great selection including cold meats and cheeses. Plus, the free on-site parking was a major bonus!

The location of this hotel was fantastic, right in the middle of Wallingford and near the Thames river. It was great for exploring the town and finding restaurants and pubs nearby. The age of the building was also fascinating, with lovely original features that added character. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast offered plenty of choice for a cooked meal and the waitress was friendly too.

Some of the rooms in this hotel were in need of a spruce up. However, overall, our stay was a pleasant one and there was nothing major to complain about.

The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for exploring the town and its shops. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and I appreciated the fact that they allowed me to check in earlier than the designated time. The room I stayed in was clean, warm, and came with a portable heater which kept me comfortable during the colder nights. The basic amenities provided, such as tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer, were a nice touch.

The George Hotel offers a spacious and comfortable room with a good-sized bath, perfect for a relaxing stay. The single bed provided is comfortable, and the great bar serves good beer. The food is okay, and the Vin du Patron is incredibly good value, so much so that I bought three bottles to take home. The staff, for the most part, are very good, although a couple can be a bit moody. Free parking and good WiFi are available. The hotel's excellent central location is close to the river, making it convenient for exploring.
