golden lion exceeded expectations! huge, spotlessly clean apartment with great views. comfy bed, full kitchen, big tv. ideal location opposite harbour. nearby food at magpie cafe and trenches was excellent. explored whitby's winding streets and abbey. short bus ride to staithes for amazing scampi at cod and lobster pub. a real home from home, dog friendly too.

Noise issues with people above and outside. apartment not clean with spiders and dust.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Golden Lion Apartments. The location was perfect, with stunning views of the bridge and Abbey and being centrally located. The apartment itself was modern, clean, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed. Despite being in the town center, there was expected noise but didn't disturb us. The communication with the host was excellent, and we appreciated the welcome pack with all necessary instructions. a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend.

I recently stayed at the Golden Lion Apartments in the heart of town and had a fantastic experience. The apartment was clean, modern, and had all the amenities needed for a self-catering stay. The rooms were spacious, with underfloor heating, and the bathroom had a modern suite. The bedroom was comfortable and the views of the river were stunning. The communication with the staff was excellent, and they even welcomed pets. By far the best place I've stayed in Whitby.

The location of the apartment is excellent, right in the heart of town, with fantastic views of the river. It is close to everything we needed and all the amenities. The rooms are clean and modern, with underfloor heating. The bathroom is a good size and the bedroom is comfortable and clean. The communication regarding our stay was great, and pets are also welcome.

The apartment could benefit from a deeper clean and removal of spiders, which made us feel uncomfortable during our stay.

Confusing access with multiple keypads.

The value for money was excellent, with a spacious and impeccably clean apartment that included a well-appointed kitchen and a comfortable bed. The location couldn't have been better, right across from the beautiful harbor in the center of town. The staff at Host & Stay - Golden Lion Apartments were helpful and accommodating throughout our stay.

The breakfast menu could have had more variety or options available.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff promptly returned my lost iPad. The breakfast offered a variety of options, including eggs, sausage, and waffles. The hotel had an indoor swimming pool and a jacuzzi that looked very nice. The location was convenient, with a really great restaurant next door.

There was nothing I didn't like.
