The cottage was fantastic, comfy beds, warm, homey. Exceptional Christmas decor, beautiful surroundings. Gorgeous views, cozy nooks, lovely deck. Close to Roslyn and Edinburgh. Great walking trails. Enclosed garden, safe for dogs. Amenities provided: TV, fridge, cooker, microwave, washing machine. Tranquil location with fields and animals.

The location of the property is perfect for those who enjoy outdoor activities, with great walks right on the doorstep. The large garden is secure and safe for pets, making it an ideal choice for travelers with dogs. In terms of facilities, the house is well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable self-catering stay, including crisp white bed linen, quality duvets, and pillows.

It would have been nice to have some outdoor furniture to fully enjoy the beautiful garden.

our stay at the cottage was truly enchanting. surrounded by the breathtaking scottish countryside, we enjoyed peaceful walks by the river, discovering the mesmerizing prehistoric carvings along the way. the cozy and homely atmosphere of the cottage made us feel right at home, and the secure garden was a bonus for our furry friend. it was the perfect blend of nature and convenience, with edinburgh just a short drive away. we can't wait to visit again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Gorton House And Cottages! The location was perfect for us, with beautiful rural views and easy access to both Edinburgh City Centre and the Edinburgh City Bypass. We even took advantage of the nearby Park & Ride and train options for convenience. The cottage itself, especially the East Cottage, had everything we needed. The rooms were cozy and warm, and the beds were comfortable. The living spaces were a good size for our group, which included 4 adults, 1 child, and 2 dogs. We also enjoyed the generous-sized garden, which even had a tennis court. The surrounding area offered plenty of lovely walks for both our dogs and our family. And if you're a fan of the Da Vinci Code, Rossalyn Chapel is a must-visit for its local history. Local shops were conveniently located just a short drive away in Dalkeith or Bonnyrig. we had a fantastic stay at Gorton House And Cottages and will definitely be returning with the rest of our family next summer!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was beautiful and the views were breathtaking. The cottage we stayed in was clean and functional, with a nice new kitchen. We enjoyed walks right on our doorstep and the communication with the owner before our visit was great. the best aspects were the beautiful location, cleanliness, functional facilities, and great communication with the owner.

It would have been nice to have more supplies such as tea towels, bin bags, and dishwasher tablets. the cottage initially felt cold upon arrival, and the bathroom radiator didn't function properly.
