My stay at Great House Guest House was absolutely delightful. The historical charm of the 15th-century building was truly captivating, with beautifully preserved panelled walls and stone mullioned doorways. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, blending heritage features with modern amenities seamlessly. The delicious breakfast in the morning was the perfect start to the day. The location was also convenient, just a short walk from the train station and restaurants. But what truly made my stay exceptional was the warm and friendly hospitality of Paula, the host. She went above and beyond to ensure that I had a fantastic experience, offering valuable recommendations and assistance throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable and comfortable stay in a historic setting.

The location was great, just a short walk from the train station and restaurants. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a lovely view of the garden. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The host, Paula, was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options including a full English and fresh fruit salad. The facilities were top-notch, with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, and toiletries provided.

Parking was a bit cramped on the street and there was a minor issue with the shower's water temperature.

We stayed at Great House Guest House and had a fantastic experience! Paula, our host, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home in this beautifully renovated 14th-century building. the guest rooms were tastefully decorated, and our room, Ben's Room, had a supremely comfortable bed. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the stunning breakfast/rest room, surrounded by oak paneling and a cozy log burner. the garden was spacious and well-tended, providing a lovely spot to relax. it was a never-to-be-forgotten opportunity to stay in such a historic and charming house.
