hallgarth manor house guest house in durham never fails to impress! after a previous stay, we decided to celebrate a special birthday here, and it surpassed all expectations. the environment, style, and attentive staff, especially ian and jenny, were fantastic. the food was delicious, and ian's multitasking skills as both a chef and receptionist were truly impressive. we can't wait to go back!

Breakfast disappointment.

I stumbled upon Hallgarth Manor House on my way through the countryside and what a great find it was! The staff were incredibly accommodating, even with our late arrival, and went the extra mile by allowing us to order late night take away. The decor of the place is quirky and interesting, giving it a unique charm. The room was comfortable and clean, and the shower was excellent. Plus, the grounds were lovely to explore. a great experience at a very affordable price.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was absolutely delicious, both at breakfast and dinner. The staff, particularly Ian, Jenny, and the other lady working with them, were exceptional and provided excellent service. The location of the hotel was great, and I enjoyed the beautiful traditional building and gardens. It was a pleasure to see Ian multitasking as both the chef and receptionist. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

The staff were incredibly helpful and conscientious, providing superb service throughout my stay. The breakfast was absolutely superb, with a delicious selection including warm croissants. The room was very comfortable and had a great shower. I also appreciated the extra hour they gave me for check out.

The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens and surrounding fields to enjoy. The rooms were immaculate and well-maintained, offering a high standard of comfort. The staff were generally friendly and attentive, providing a pleasant service throughout our stay.

It would have been preferable if we were able to order breakfast at the time rather than having to pre-order the previous evening.

I recently stayed at Hallgarth Manor in Durham for an early morning appointment. The room was clean, airy, and comfortable with a lovely view of the gardens. The staff at the Village Tavern Bar were friendly and the locals made for great company. The food was delicious and the option to order in the bar and dine in the restaurant was convenient. The hotel is situated in a charming period property with beautiful grounds. The location is quiet and close to a park and ride. a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The location of the hotel is beautiful and the setting for weddings is delightful. The rooms are lovely with oak beams and the bathrooms have beautiful toiletries. The staff are friendly and warm, providing quick check-ins and excellent customer service. The bed and shower are comfortable, and some of the staff members are attentive. The bar area has a nice ambiance with a good selection of gins to try.

The breakfast service needs improvement, as there were delays in getting hot drinks and the poached eggs were overcooked.
