I stayed at Harpur's for my daughter's wedding and was impressed by the spotless room and the amazing staff who went above and beyond. They even prepared my son's room early so he could get ready for the wedding. The staff were fantastic throughout our entire stay. The bed was comfortable and the restaurant served delicious food, especially the fish and chips. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

We recently stayed at Harpurs and had a fantastic experience. the dinner and breakfast were excellent, with well-cooked and delicious food. the staff were efficient and friendly, providing great service throughout our stay. the town itself is pleasant and the parish church is a true gem. the hotel is set in beautiful English countryside, adding to the overall charm of the location. the room we stayed in was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. the central location, parking facilities, and tea/coffee making facilities were all convenient amenities.

We stayed for bed and breakfast, on the understanding that breakfast was not included. It was a good, cooked breakfast so we didn't mind. the staff are friendly but they seem distracted by lots to do. the rooms are very tasteful and nicely furnished. It looks and feels like a chic, boutique hotel in a lovely, old building. Everything is very tasteful and pleasant - very clean and fresh but with a heritage feel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. the tea and coffee making facilities are adequate. the bathroom is a good size and the shower has a fair amount of power. It was fair value for money, all in all.

Great location right in the heart of the city. the room was clean with fresh linens and towels that were replaced daily. the breakfast was hot, filling, and kept me going throughout the day.

The walls are thin, and I could hear everything that was happening in the hallway and in the rooms next to mine. At night, I was woken up multiple times by loud music and people talking.

The breakfast was delicious and satisfying. We also enjoyed taking a leisurely stroll around the nearby lake, which was a lovely bonus.

That the room could have been more practical. It would have been helpful to have a plug closer to the coffee/tea facilities and a more convenient spot to hang our coats.
