I had a fantastic stay at this rural barn conversion. The Stables were spacious, peaceful, and easy to find. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the bathrooms were well-stocked. The rooms were big and comfortable, and the WiFi worked perfectly throughout the entire house. The location was great, as it was a short walk or drive to nearby cafes and villages. The hotel staff, particularly Dawn, were very helpful and sorted everything we needed upon arrival. The parking was convenient, and it was lovely to take a walk around the private lake.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

I had an amazing stay at Hastings Retreat! The barn conversion was beautiful and the setting next to the lake was so peaceful. The property was modern, spotless, and had everything I needed, especially the well-equipped kitchen. I especially enjoyed watching the sunrise over the lake with a cup of coffee. The owners even left a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates to celebrate our special occasion. I had a fantastic and memorable experience.

Although the twin bed pushed together wasn't as comfortable as some I've slept on, it was still decent. Additionally, the soundproofing could be improved as I could occasionally hear the neighbors playing music.

The view of the woods and lake was simply stunning! The hosts were thoughtful and even gave us a bottle of prosecco to celebrate a birthday. The barn itself was equipped with everything needed for a relaxing hideaway. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated in a classic English style. The property offered plenty of privacy with separate outdoor spaces for each barn. It was great to have the option to jump in the lake or just enjoy the view. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, and location were all top-notch.
