The location was ideal, with just a short walk to the town center. I highly recommend this place for a memorable and relaxing stay.

The building itself is a quirky, 16th century structure that exudes charm and character. The owners have made significant efforts to maintain its historical integrity. Although the property is not located in a rural setting as initially expected, it is conveniently situated near the center of Buxton. We were pleased with our comfortable bed and the exceptional breakfast, as well as the warm and accommodating attitude of the owners. In summary, we highly recommend Hawthorn Farm Guest House for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

As party people, we loved the historic character and cozy rooms with wood panels. The seaside-themed artwork in the bedroom and bathroom added a pleasant touch. The bed was super comfy and the night was quiet. The shower/toilet was cute and the shower had plenty of hot water. The well-heated bedroom offered privacy, and the WiFi worked well. The owners were friendly and welcoming, and the converted barn B&B was a short walk from Buxton.

The hill leading to the town center was steep, making it inconvenient to walk after a meal and drinks.

The breakfast was excellent, catering for guests with differing dietary requirements. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location was excellent, with easy access to the town and great transportation links to the surrounding areas.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming 16th-century guest house. the owners are currently renovating the property and their dedication to making it better is evident. the hosts were welcoming and provided great information about the local area. the location is quiet but still conveniently close to the town center. the breakfast served exceeded my expectations, with a delicious selection of fresh berries and a full English breakfast. the room was comfortable, well-supplied with drinks and biscuits, and had quality toiletries. I look forward to returning to see the finished renovations.
