I had such a wonderful stay at this quirky hotel with its interesting décor. the staff were incredibly helpful and the owners were extremely hospitable. the food was great and it offered terrific value for money. It was so thoughtful of the staff, particularly Amy, to set up a table in the bar area so that we could bring our dog to dinner. the same considerate treatment was extended to us during breakfast, which was also excellent. I highly recommend the Heather Glen Country House and I would love to visit again.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the beautiful countryside. The grounds are delightful, perfect for a peaceful stroll with our dog. The rooms are beautiful, with comfy beds and a warm atmosphere. The attention to detail is evident, with nice touches like a welcome note and locally sourced toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, with locally produced food cooked to perfection. It's great value for money, offering a delightful stay in a stunning location.

heather glen exceeded our expectations once again - everything was perfect! the hotel is stunning and spotlessly clean, with beautiful views from our room. the staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic time. the restaurant was a highlight - delicious gluten-free and vegetarian options, the best food we've ever had! highly recommend!

During my stay at Heather Glen, I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful accommodation for my dog in the bar area. the exceptional vegetarian options in the restaurant made my dining experience truly delightful. the cozy and quirky décor added to the overall charm of this hidden gem. the willingness of the host to provide an adaptor for my toothbrush showed exceptional customer service. Despite minor inconveniences with the TV placement and bath height, my overall experience was fantastic. I highly recommend this pet-friendly establishment for a unique and enjoyable stay.

The staff was not very welcoming and seemed uninterested in serving us. the room was not cleaned properly before our arrival, and there was dust and stains visible on the furniture and floor.

As young people, we absolutely loved the relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful countryside location. The food was amazing, with plenty of choices and great value for money. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

The staff, especially Amy, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. The quirky decor and interesting details throughout the hotel added to its charm. The hotel's location, nestled near the picturesque Lake District, provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway.

The only minor inconvenience was the high bath height, which made it slightly difficult to step out of when wet. However, this did not detract from our overall positive experience at this hotel.

The host was accommodating, outstanding food and service, beautiful location with countryside views, friendly and polite staff, great facilities for dogs.
