we recently had a fantastic weekend at the caravan park. the caravan we stayed in was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, including a lovely welcome pack that made us feel right at home. we loved the cozy atmosphere, especially with the heating already on for us. the kids had an absolute blast in the play park, and we all enjoyed a delightful sunday carvery, icing on the cake for our mini getaway.

We hit up the Theatre Royal, and it was absolutely lit! The vibe was perfect for us, and our caravan was super cozy—felt like home. Plus, the nearby river was perfect for chilling with friends while we took some epic selfies. The only thing I'd say is we could've used a little more nightlife—like a cool bar or club would be awesome. We want to dance and party, not just hang at the caravan!

The caravan itself was really impressive—lots of space, super clean, and fully equipped. I mean, they had everything from a full-size fridge to a proper cooker. The welcome pack was a cute touch, too, and the soft towels were just what we needed after a long trip. Honestly, it felt cozy, especially since the heating had been cranked up for us, making it toasty right from the start. Now, I'm a bit picky about cooking when I’m away, and I was pleasantly surprised with the cookware. There were enough pots and pans to whip up a decent meal, and the utensils were in good shape. Ironing facilities were a bit of a miss, though. I didn't need to iron anything, but it would have been nice to have that option available. One frustrating part was the lack of entertainment options. Even though it was January and things are typically quieter, I found myself stuck watching TV because there wasn’t much else to do on-site. If I’d wanted a night out or something fun, it meant driving and that just wasn’t what I was in the mood for. Oh, and another downside was that first night. There was a party next door that went on until 3 am. Wild, right? I didn’t want to disturb anyone since it was late, so I waited until morning to bring it up. The staff were really responsive and sorted it out quickly, which was great, but still, you just want to relax without the noise. The surrounding area is gorgeous, though, especially the walks along the river. It’s a lovely setting, and the village of Stanhope has its charm. Just wish the site had a bit more to keep us busy without needing to hop in the car. And one last thing, the wifi was pretty flaky. It doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it was a little annoying when I wanted to check something online. All in all, it was a nice escape, just with a few hiccups along the way. Would I go back? Maybe, but I would keep my eyes peeled for somewhere a bit more lively.

The location was perfect, offering beautiful local walks and the charming village of Stanhope. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making my experience even more enjoyable.
