From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff at Herriots in Skipton were exceptional. The front of house team, supported by the back of house staff, provided excellent service and the food and drinks were of great quality. The hotel made every effort to prevent the spread of C-19, which put our minds at rest. The location was perfect for enjoying the return of charter trains along the Settle to Carlisle line, with a special charter train departing from just across the road at the railway station. The warm and comfortable accommodations, along with the welcoming bar/restaurant, made our stay even more enjoyable. The attention to detail from the staff, including finding and returning a lost earring, was outstanding. The beautiful location allowed for a nice walk along the canal to reach the town, and the food in the restaurant, particularly the beef and ale pie and the rhubarb and apple pie, was delicious.

I was traveling alone and had a table set for one in the middle of the dining room, which made me uncomfortable. However, when I mentioned it to the reception staff, they received my comments positively and assured me that they would address this issue. The reception process was efficient and professional, and the staff answered all my questions with ease. The hotel's location is excellent, just an 8-minute walk from the Skipton center and right opposite the railway station. The canal aspect added a charming touch to the surroundings. My room, Classic+room , was spacious and had a large bathroom with a good-sized bath and a shower. I appreciated the provided toiletries, TV, and the table with coffee making facilities. The room was quiet, ensuring a peaceful stay. The hotel is conveniently located near many pubs and shops, making it easy to explore the area. The staff were attentive, thoughtful, and tried their best to ensure my stay was enjoyable.

The central location, just a 5-minute walk from the city center, was incredibly convenient. It was also right by the canal, allowing for a lovely walk. The fact that there was free parking was a huge plus, especially since I had a barge trip planned. The hotel staff were very helpful and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options on the menu. The bed in my room was incredibly comfy, and the bathroom was clean and modern.
