We stayed at a charming and comfortable cottage that had everything we needed. the owners paid attention to detail and provided entertainment and information on local attractions. the location was perfect, allowing us to easily reach the coast and nearby shops and amenities. the cottage was cozy and well-equipped for a self-catering stay. It was exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable. the quiet surroundings made for a peaceful stay, and we would definitely return.

The cottage is clean, cosy, and beautifully decorated with festive touches. It is located in a quiet area, a short drive away from nearby attractions. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering stays, with a dishwasher. The storage heaters and towel rail provide sufficient warmth, and there are ample hot water and comfortable beds.

Limited parking on-site requires street parking, which can be challenging for loading/unloading.

the cottage was cosy and beautifully furnished, with good quality amenities and a well-supplied kitchen. the bed was super comfy and there were thoughtful little extras like teddies in the bedroom and candles in the bathroom. the owner has a great eye for interior design and the cottage was exceptionally clean, with a focus on hygiene measures. it was a wonderful place to stay for a self-catering getaway.

Cosy cottage with helpful little notes and a beautiful Christmas tree. Fully equipped kitchen with hidden heater. Perfect for relaxation and close to attractions like Whitby and North York moors. Enjoyed the local pub and the outdoor areas with lots of wildlife. Ideal for dog owners with walks nearby.

Felt like a homely retreat, nothing too much trouble.

We had a fabulous time at Hideaway Cottage! The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding attractions like Whitby, Staithes, and Robin Hood's Bay. The cozy and comfortable cottage made us feel right at home. We loved watching the wild birds in the outdoor areas.

We couldn't get the place warm despite lighting a fire. Also, there wasn't enough hot water for both of us to take a bath.

We loved how clean and festive the cottage was, creating a cozy atmosphere. The location was perfect for exploring various attractions in the area, such as Whitby, The North York Moors, Staithes, Runswick Bay. The local pub, The Plough, was worth the 30-minute walk, with excellent staff and a great menu. The cottage also had lovely outside areas to enjoy, both at the front and back, and we enjoyed the company of the many wild birds.

Nothing to mention. Everything was perfect and we had a fantastic stay.

The cottage was lovely and clean, and the host had decorated it beautifully for the New Year. We had a cozy and peaceful stay. the location was great, with easy walking access to the coast and local amenities like the bakery, butcher/deli, fish and chips, pub, and spa. We especially enjoyed the walk up to the shops along the side of the river, enjoying the scenic views along the way.

One thing to note is that the cottage was quite cold, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. the firewood we purchased didn't do much to warm the place, and the storage heaters were not very effective.
