Pros Arriving on a chilly Friday, the room was cold, but cozy bed with lovely bedding made up for it. the following night, a heater was provided upon request. Morning gluten-free breakfast for my husband was well managed. I'll recommend this hotel.

the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, just like old pals. the room was like a dream, with the comfiest mattress that I secretly wished to take home. the location was perfect, in a peaceful setting where you could hear a pin drop at night.

One thing that could be a bit improved is the lighting in the rooms. It was a tad dim for reading, and the switches were a bit confusing.

The owners' attention to detail was evident in the well-tended garden and the trout stream running through their woods. The outstanding chef at the restaurant provided superb food, and the breakfasts were excellent. The friendly staff made us feel welcome, and the location was a great base for exploring the surrounding coast.

The heating in the room was inadequate despite discussing this with the owner, and the room itself was too small with only one seat to sit in. It was also inconvenient that the sink was in the bedroom.

Highfield was a unique Victorian Tudor villa with beautiful fabrics and lovely lighting. the staff was exemplary, offering a relaxing and homely experience. the breakfast was amazing, and the decor in the dining room was fabulous with a roaring log fire.

First stay, staff helped. Perfect fit with Free Wi-Fi, parking, security, bar, restaurant. Welcome drink, massage, TV, kettle. Cycling, golf, kids' area, board games. Wheelchair access, pets allowed, air con, no smoking. Ready for next trip.

Excellent value for money with spacious, themed rooms and beautiful interior. the location was serene and the staff went above and beyond in their hospitality.
